In the two essay we read they are about how life is so different according to where you live. In life love and happiness web surfers do not realize how precious and sacred life is. People waste their time on the Internet all day and night. Instead of chasing after their dreams,working hard or making meaningrul relationships. They pretend to be stars, travelling the world and,take photographs or twerk dance all day. Surfers do not form lasting relationships to scare to encounter each other face to face . They meet individuals that live a million miles away so they can behave fake and phony. Forget it if they leave that I phone home you know the day will be chaotic . In a life in Latin America life is sacred and unpredictable. The citizens do not know day to day what they will have to encounter. Their main goal is to survive and protect. A young lad cannot enjoy their childhood they must join the guerillas to fight war. Unfortunely, they cannot behave like children experiment and explore their surroundings . I know the children would love to play in the dirt or play soccer with family and friends. It would be music to the parents ears to hear their children run, yell, scream and play like children. However ,this is not an option because they must live with the fact that they must concentrate on surviving. Can you imagine walking out your door to see a dead man in the street body riddled with bullets. A woman sitting on the ground with a needle in her arm dead from a overdose. Children selling their bodies to old decrepit men to provide for their families. Marvin Gaye song WHATS GOING ON their so many of us dying is perfect for what happens in Latin america. People will sell their souls to obtain POWER.. They will trample on the old and the young to obtain control. Is this what life is really about taking things and people for granted, crime.war and drugs. What happened to the real meaning of life , love and happiness.
