I know that the Nostradamus make predictions about the future. I think that Aum members were drawn to this prediction since they belief in life after died.  Some interviews seem to look forward to the end since all they talk is  of the future. Murakami think that in most of the time Aum criticized the Japanese as very busy people and focused on their work. Aum strongly belief in religion.  Aum members are similar to Japanese society since they are focused in their own work
