Sarin Sarin
I still don't understand why Japanese would notice that its a sarin attack but act like it's not dangerous at all. Koichiro was on the strain when they announced that 3 people had collapsed and then he saw a middle age man pass by saying "sarin! sarin!" and still didn't take it serious. It's sad these doctors never know whats going on and they didn't even know how to test for sarin. Now this is ridiculous ain't these doctors suppose to know how to test for a Sarin? this is life or death.

  1. I found this curious too, Andrea. Sometimes, in highly stressful situations, people go into shock. A friend of mine once woke to the sound of a bear sniffing around his tent in the middle of the night. He pulled out his pocketknife and waited, listening to the bear and, at some point, he fell asleep. Not b/c he wasn't scared, but b/c he was in a kind of shock.

  2. I'd definitely agree with that. Every individual experiences a different type of distress, and also reacts differently, despite them not having any noticeable fears within the moment. Someone who is in great shock may have an episode of wide-ranged emotions that is unfit with how they normally act on a daily basis. It is possible that those who seemed fearless of the attacks were in distress and in complete shock, but didn't have the words to say to express what they say or felt. As for the doctors, they needed to know before hand on how to deal with patients not only who consumed sarin gas, but those who suffered from long or short-term side effects of the attacks. Seems very unprofessional and dumbfound-like confusing to me, meaning its very interesting that doctors are unable to treat nor identify what goes on in an individual's body. They should've known right away the contents of sarin since during that time it was a serious epidemic that nobody else but the clan had complete control over. However, those who were on the train were neglectful to point out that there was something wrong. It could possibly be due to the fact that they were confused or the sarin had already hit their brains so they were probably unable to act in time, or they were just simply neglectful into saying anything. As for the doctors, they have people's lives in their hands in which they aren't taking very seriously or proceeding with caution. It's despicable.
