God comment

Form my point of view, the story was difficult to read, it was hard because God made it tricky by confusing what was happening but the it went back to the poem. However, reading it more than once, can really make you think about what is really happening. First, there’s a setting which is a situation in the school and how sororities did not fit in, but the author makes a point on “transport into alternate worlds,” which is challenging. It’s my job or the reader to find the transportation by looking at the setting.

  1. I feel that the author didn't care about the reader feelings because he doesn't show any respect for religion therefore offending the reader. Reading the full passage explains why the word God was used but I think is ridicules using the word to describe a sexual feeling or image.

  2. Is it the author's responsibility to "respect" all religions? Why? It's true that naming a story "God" might alienate some readers. Can you think of readers who might admire or like the title? Part of engaging w/ literature is stepping outside your own perspective.
