God pt. 2

I agree with Stephen that Melanie was portrayed as this powerful being, considering the fact that she was referred to as God. The assumptions I made about Melanie was she is someone people looked up to or praised and some people might consider her to be perfect. Overall, I enjoyed this poem. It does seem that Melanie was a virgin and did have sex with the narrator. It was not surprising because she's portrayed to be this "fast girl" just because she's popular and people look up to her so of course false assumptions might be made. Also, Melanie was the protagonist in this.

    I wonder if Melanie was really the protagonist. She doesn't really change over the course of the story. However, the narrator does, doesn't he?
