Poems (Part 1)

I think what makes a poem is when a person express how there are feeling towards themselves or other people. The way Monica writes her poem is different because after each stanza she uses number to break her poem down. It can affect my reading of the poem because telling something and showing something are two different things. Also, when people tell me certain things I would always say "I'll believe it when I see it." In the poem " The difference " I can assume the they was the white people because in the first sentence it said " They talk oil in heavy jackets and plaid over their coffee, they talk Texas and the north cold."
