On Part 2

Thinking about why Murakami didn't want to interview the terrorists, It makes sense from a victim's perspective. Why would you want to interview a group of people that wanted to kill you? right? Maybe the Japanese audience at the time wasn't ready to start the healing process of declawing the terrorists. On the other hand I can see why he finally did, it takes the power away from the attackers if they're humanized because they don't seem like monsters if you know more about them, not that it diminishes their actions but it diminishes the effects of their actions. A terrorist's purpose is to use violence as a tool to force political or social change, right? If you take away the power the violence has, then it makes the attack ineffective, right? Just some thoughts.
