What 9/11 means to me. I was in my 10th grade when 9/11 happened. All I remember is that all of the teachers and students were sent to the gym for hours, and then eventually, we went home early. When I saw the news, I couldn't believe it. This was the first time that I've witnessed a terror attack in my lifetime. I was in shock and I became very scared for my country. Most of the victims were sent to Saint Vincent Hospital after then incident. The first person, I was worried about was my mother. She worked there as a nurse, but thankfully, she was off that night. Thank God!
I have a friend that was in recruited into the Navy, and I kept on trying to persuade him not to do it. However, he didn't listen. Matter fact, he's going to be sent to Afghanistan in July 2020. My friends and I are going to have a send off celebration for him before he leaves. I'm scared that he won't come back safe and sound. He has a wife and 2 step kids who I'm praying for. What if their father doesn't come home? Question? How do some of you millennial babies feel about it? Since it seems like you guys have been born into this war between America and Afghanistan?
